                                    lairising neath brassy chevelure      oglers croqueloure
                        plasmic pouts purr pouffey sighs

sleep’s death-head rides on errant nights
                                    optics pop      Venus loosens her chest of drawers
                        a degustation of langouste        the table groans
                                                            a ruddy lobster bugs the phone

           
un caballero circles Espana’s weeper      lips a carmine banner
                                    phantom infanta or horse in crinolines and spectral lines
                        the jaws of death crimp the danseuse’s chemise
                                                            and roses bleed


fourms of black ants swarm the hand of guilt             palm d’or
                        lions louche   thigh-sized cicadas chirico
            clocks wrung out to dry blubber for dolphin cadaver
                                                time’s lapsed Camembert


that henna-thatched crackhead hatches Narcissus
                        a crutch of tuskers bare Lilith of the lusty Chalice
            Vermeer’s deftly turned pegs in walnut veneer
                                                Voltaire appears to disappear


headless capitals grasp Homer’s membrain phallacy
                        Dali’s Madonna creusified on Cadaques’ rocks at sea
            Avida Dollars goes gaga over Gala
                                                o enigma Gorgonzola

MORNING OVER FORT MADHOGARH

Clack, clack, clack breaks her village like beescomb, awakes the sun god, Surya.   Still treadling dark, young Hindu girl.   Dare she dream the kingfisher weave, silky azul?   Even the banyan tree stretches legs for parabolas of parakeets where peacocks mewl.
